Montana Beauty

I have been learning some new tricks with Adobe Photoshop, so you may see a few more photos on the blog--since I like to share photos so much! These photos were both taken in the summer of 2006 while I was serving with the youth in our church. Both locations were within 2 hours of our home, although there is much to enjoy closeby as well. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get out much since then and because we are leaving Montana in less than a year, I really only have a few months to enjoy Montana while there's no snow on the ground and it's not freezing outside. Enjoy the pics!

Dalllin's First Haircut

Dallin's hair was looking pretty shabby, so I decided after breakfast to do something about it, hence you can still see the remnants of his meal. It turned out pretty good, I think. I messed up on the side you cannot see because he turned right as I was snipping. Other than that, I'm quite proud of myself! I guess I can add barber to my mom résumé.

Easter in Washington

Well, it's been a couple of days since we returned from a visit with my family in Washington. I'm so sad we had to leave. :( We were able to spend a few days, including Easter, with my family--all of whom were present except for Caitlyn, who is enjoying her freshman year at BYU-Idaho. Jaren and his cousin Ellie were able to go on two Easter egg hunts--one was put on by ARC of the Tri-Cities and the other in my parent's backyard. They had a lot of fun meeting the Easter bunny and finding the Easter eggs. Jaren was all business about his eggs. On the first egg hunt, he loaded up his extra large bucket to capacity and had fun eating all of his candy. Later in the day, we had the second egg hunt with real eggs. Previously, Jaren just dropped or threw most of his plastic eggs into his basket. Can you see where this is going? So, he did the same with the real eggs. I cringed every time I heard a thud in his basket. On the plus side, it made peeling the eggs that much easier--all 54 of them. Egg salad sandwiches anyone?

Family Photo

Here is a picture of my side of the family with everyone present (notice the babies are not crying). We were all supposed to wear the same color clothing, but there was some misunderstanding as you can see with the many different color themes. The photographer did a really good job at grouping us together. I just thought I'd share a rare moment captured on film with ya'll!

Last Alert

Well, George went on his last 72-hour alert ever March 5! YEAH!! We celebrated last Saturday (the day he returned home) by going to a new pizza place in town and we've been busy ever since trying to balance out family time and George's two masters classes, which he finished on Thursday, so I haven't had much time to post anything until now (when I really should be preparing a lesson for church--oh well). So, instead of posting how exhilarating it feels to be done with the life of being a missileer's wife and knowing that my husband will not deploy for 4 days at a time ever again, I will just post this video that George made for his last alert to commemorate his journey as a missileer. Ignore the end remarks--it was for the people that George will be working with for the next year as he takes on a new job as an Emergency War Order (EWO) instructor.
